I Am Not Obsessive!

Back when I was a kid, I thought I just love cleaning; the house, the kitchen, the gutter, the room, the bathroom etc. I was always in distress seeing a disorganized table with books not properly stacked, pens out of the pencil case or paper lying around. My brothers and sisters were irritated by me every time I remind them to wash their hands before dinner, or to make sure the bathroom stays as clean as I have left them, and other things I thought normal for a growing boy.Obsessive Compulsive, OCDThen in my adolescence years I have discovered I fear human contact; especially their hands. I wasn't fond of borrowing cellphones, ballpen, or even coins because I feel they may contain "things" hidden from the naked eye that may squirm into my skin if I don't "destroy" them as early as possible. I avoid the door knobs, public bathrooms, and sharing utensils is a punishable crime.Crazy part was when people started talking about kissing or sex enthusiastically, I wasn't interested; I was more concerned about saliva, germs, perspiration, and contamination, Of course I was silent all the time in fear of persecution ( I mean how many people you meet that wasn't interested with that?). Don't get me wrong, I was just born that way and before I knew it, Yep, I realized I was suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

After reading some OCD fact from Wikipedia, I breathed in relief to know mine's was just benign: I just want everything organized and clean, that's all (and no human contact please). Even famous English footballer David Beckham has been outspoken regarding his struggle with OCD:

David Beckham Obsessive Compulsive, David Beckham OCD1. He has to count all his clothes, and that magazines have to lie in a straight line.

2. No more than three soda cans are allowed in his refrigerator, and if there are any more at home they have to be placed in a cupboard.

3. He has explained that the reason he gets more tattoos is that he feels addicted to the pain of the needle.

4. In hotels, any books that are on a shelf must be placed in the drawer.

I understand him and lucky he's a celebrity for he can demand hotels with those things. Fortunately I've got no bones about Hotels or Resto as long as they serve the buffet just right.

The Duke Crouching Over Potatoes

I couldn't stand two hours straight of Television (except with movies). Dunno why, but I'm always aware that TV will likely suck most of your quality time during weekends. But since the early rain came early (in the middle of summer?) and I can't do the laundry, I thought I’d pass so I put the potato on the couch and several discoveries overwhelmed me:That seeing a classic Looney Tunes cartoon brought me back my childhood days. I miss the old gang, my favorite Looney Tunes Friends:

My sister then went berserk over the remote to watch Pushing Daisies’ first two seasons and since I can't get out of the house I watched and 30 minutes later, I thought it was a rather cool, funny but smart show.Ned's ability was not new but brings something fresh. He can bring back people from death and apart from the classy narrative, I find the set something "different" and the script very engaging.

One of my fave cable channels was AXN and I was pretty intrigued by this particular show The Duke. Several minutes later I was wallowing in disbelief and envy because what they all did was enjoy; the sights, the establishments, the cool outfits, meeting people, and of course having all these treats for free. How unfair life could still be?
