4 Most Iconic Villains of All Time

I have decided to watch The Lion King (after, say, a decade). Unexpectedly, I still found the movie entertaining and engaging. What's changed is my favorite character. It was Simba back then, but now it's Scar. I love his personality, sarcasm, and intelligence. I think I'm on the villain's camp in my adult years, for they are clever, smart, and sarcastic.

Here are my top 4 villains of all time.

4. Severus Snape in Harry Potter
Forget the movie because it simply don't do justice for Snape's real personality. I like his presence in the Potter World because he's the first to put Potter in his place and didn't treat him like a celebrity or someone famous. He's so cool that I used some of his juiciest sarcastic line most of the time.

Fave Quote: "Mr. Potter. Our. New. Celebrity."

3. Jafar in Aladdin
Aladdin is one of my all time fave too, though not as entertaining as Lion King or Shrek but nevertheless enhanced my liking for sarcastic villains. I dunno why, but I think villains are just realistic they don't sugarcoat things just to appease the hero.

Fave Quote: "I am free! Free to exact vengeance upon he who has imprisoned me!"

2.
Hades in Hercules
My brothers and sister hated him, but me, weirdly, was kind of attached to Hades. I just like his humor, sarcasm, and again, presenting the truth to the heroes straight. This guy is cool more than Hercules and Zeus put together.

Fave Quote: "He's gotta have a weakness, because everybody's got a weakness. I mean, for what? Pandora, it was the box thing. For the Trojans, hey. They bet on the wrong horse, okay?"

1. Scar in The Lion King
I spent countless days thinking why I like Scar's addition to the Lion King. And then I realized that I have natural attachment to villains. You can't fake things like this, and so, I thought there's no point in pretending I'm on the hero's camp when in reality; I Am a Villain. Scar is simply cool.

Fave Quote: "Well, as far as brains go, I got the lion's share. But when it comes to brute strength… I'm afraid I'm at the shallow end of the gene pool."

If you know other characters like in my list, please do share and I will research them ASAP. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All (Screw the forecast for 2010!).

Nina Jose is Tanduay's Calendar Girl 2010

I remember Nina Jose in PBB Teen Edition as the sosy from Makati. Turned out she wasn't really rich, making all the fat and mediocre girls smile with vindictive pleasure. Why? Nina is simply the sexy chick that most boys wanted, and hell yeah I'm one of them (just for the meantime, of course).

She's Tanduay's Calendar girl for 2010, and here are some of the amazing shots:

I Love You Summer On A New Moon Until 2012

It's December, and I will be celebrating my 2nd year in blogging this 17th. How time flies...anyway, I've been into movies these past months, and I've been saving them for this one blog post...

I love you Beth Cooper

I saw the trailer, and I thought it was funny. But after the screening, I was disappointed. It was as though the director was bullied on his high school days, and the movie was inspired from it.

Less fun, more talk, and I want my money back.

2012

Plot-wise, cinematography was cool, graphic was astounding for the eyes, and humor was perfect. I love the script, especially the Russian President (im not sure), with his "Good, that is good" line.

The airplane scene with the collapsing building and bridges was breathtaking. I will surely buy the DVD version of it when it comes out.

500 Days of Summer
This wasn't my kind of movie, and I was determined not to like it because I can't stand the "i-need-someone-to-complete-my-life" thing.

But the script, the presentation, the actors, and the plot were wonderful, and I finally let go of my standards. Also, I was happy because, unlike the pathetic guy, I will not depend my happiness on other people. It's a choice.

Twilight: New Moon

This is surprisingly decent compared to Twilight. Less Edward-centric and Bella-whining, and more vampire chase, which was cool. Also, the werewolf thing was nicely done I was entertained with the battle lust. This is much better than the book, and I thank the director for changing some things up.

The only thing that disturbed me was when Bella saw the innocent human being fed to the council of vampires, and she still liked to be one of them. How blind was that? On the other hand, I was laughing by the crowd's reactions every time perfect Edward comes on the screen, and this time, Jacob posing his new physique and hard abs (honestly, It was unnerving).

Alice Cullen has been the apple of my eye ever since I saw her in the first Twilight movie. I simply love her feminine class; she's cute, witty, and hell yeah, she also drives wicked cars...
