If you're anyone like me, then you're still fusing over how the class prophecy predicted your future very wrong.
I could still remember how the 'future' was molded on how much we existed in the writer's memory. While most of the girls were awarded registered nurse futures, boys were, predictably, predicted with a seaman caption.
Geez. Even in high school, conformity was a disease, an invisible malady which only the sick could see.
Most of the friends of the class prophecy's writer had been awarded classy titles, such as Ambassadors, Chemists, Actors, Business Tycoons, and those careers that would make anyone want to jump fast forward to that future.
So, after almost a decade, with 7 demised and countless nurses nursing their own babies now, I couldn't help but to admire God. There's this quote, "If you want to make God laugh, tell him your future plans." No one could be sure of the future. You gotta try dyin' or let the opportunity pass.
I gotta say I was quite envious of my classmates back then, for they really know what they want to become and what to achieve in life. I was a nobody, so it never really occurred to me pleasing the Fates to handle the upcoming years smoothly; No pressure whatsoever.
However, I know for a fact continuing to college could make or break a dream. And now, as far as BS Tourism is concerned, being in the SEO world today is something of a far-fetched scheme looking back. LOL! It's almost comical. Never would I have imagined myself forcing the writer to erase that hideous prediction and change it to SEO Specialist.
Bottom line: It's OK if you're not decided yet of what you want to become someday. What's not Ok would be you confirming with the rest, even if you know something special is stirring inside you.
